The magic of pop music, electric spaces and the visual literature stops hinder when the music takes control of what could be otherwise a bloody mess. The Barcelonian trio LASERS will be this time that band architect of this visceral and heartfelt electronics.
Synthesized pop music that does not know about borders between organic feelings and planetary assaults. A fantastic journey through the samples, tireless cyclic sounds, leaning melodies… If music is sounding, blood is pumping.
The fabulous and supported – both public and critics- ‘Lasers’ (Hubble Sound, 2010) –five songs EP recorded in the Micromaltese Studios with Marco Morgione (El Guincho or Delorean sound technician) didn’t remain a mere dream or story to tell the grandchildren in front of the fireplace. Soon it had a sequel.
The acclaimed first album “Juno” that it was released in autumn 2011 by Irregular label. A “five stars” of songs and concerns. Same story with the most recent and 2nd LP entitled “Exchange Levels” where their sound has mutated and evolved like a musical monster arisen from the ground into something huge, urban and cosmopolitan [READ THE INFO RELEASE HERE]. A stylish musical hybrid where if you concentrate you can detect the light influences of artists such as Baltimora, Junior Boys, Youth Lagoon and Memory Tapes.
Excellent music recorded multiply tenfold when playing live. In just 3 years of life they have already been proclaimed winners in contests as Levi’s Awards (2009), finalists in Licor 43 Myspace and Jamón Pop. They have already played as special guest band in Primavera Sound, Sónar-Galicia, Converse / Make Noise, Swab… Even afford to be part of the new Eristoff Interative Festival campaign.
At the end, they will conquer you and maybe the moon, like they did with us. LASERS: A band with a bright future. And future is now.
